Backyard visitors...

We are going through hundreds of pounds of corn, peanuts, and sunflower seeds a week. I put out 100 pounds of corn on Tuesday morning and it was gone by Wednesday morning. Between the deer, racoons, turkeys, opossums, and birds, I can not keep up. I love having all the animals around us, but they are making us broke!!!

Waxwings!!!

Spring has officially sprung in Elk River. It was a chilly 17 degrees this morning so my birdbath was very busy. In all the years I have lived here, I have never seen waxwings in my backyard. When I got up this morning, there was 20+ at the bath. Unfortunately, they are skittish little buggers so I did not get many pictures before they flew away.

We also had few regulars show up...
